Another fabulous soaked chia flavour! This one is dark, gorgeous, and almost smoky with the coffee hit and chocolate. I love decadent breakfasts. Wait, no. I adore them!
Chia is absolutely brimming with nutrients – omega-3 fatty acids, protein, calcium, minerals, and fibre. Because they soak up so much liquid, you can make a gigantic, filling serving with a fairly small quantity of seeds. So all you low-cal peeps – eat up!
The additions of flaxseed, psyllium, cinnamon, and cocoa add further benefits like omega-3s, fibre, protein, antioxidants, and blood-sugar-regulating powers. This bowl is guaranteed to keep you full for hours. Who wants a measly bowl of cereal, anyway? Not Fizzi. No way!
I topped my soaked chia with unsweetened, full-cream, natural yoghurt, cinnamon, and brazil nuts. Cacao nibs, whipped coconut cream, seeds, coconut, and cocoa powder would all be fabulous as well. Oh, decadence. I love you.
This recipe can be gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free, egg-free, nut-free, and vegan.
Preparation time: 5 minutes (plus refrigeration)
Serves 1
Ingredients:
– 1/4 cup chia seeds
– 1-2 Tablespoons cocoa powder, as desired
– 1 teaspoon coffee granules (I used vanilla-flavoured ones)

– 1 teaspoon psyllium husks
– 1 Tablespoon ground flaxseeds
– 1 cup milk of choice
– toppings of choice: yoghurt, cinnamon, nuts, cacao nibs, etc.
Method:
1. The night before you want to eat this, combine all ingredients except toppings in your serving bowl and stir very well. Cover and refrigerate.
2. The next morning, uncover and top as desired. Enjoy! 🙂
