True, not everyone is a green fiend like myself when it comes to sweet treats. If you happen to be one of the blessed ones who is an avocado lover, please consider making this for a special breakfast!
This fibre-filled glass is layered with a moussy avocado smoothie, full-fat yoghurt, protein-loaded nuts and crunchy coconut flakes. I used a special type – chilli “Coconut Smiles” – but regular coconut also works.
Green is the new ice cream.
This recipe can be gluten-free, low-carb, and egg-free.
Serves 1
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
– 1/2 small avocado
– 3 Tablespoons full-fat yoghurt, plus extra to layer
– 1/3 cup milk of choice
– pinch cinnamon, plus extra for layering
– handful ice cubes
– frozen berries
– nuts of choice
– seeds/ coconut
Method:
1. Blitz together the avocado, yoghurt, milk, cinnamon, and ice cubes in a blender, until smooth.
2. Pour half into a glass, then top with yoghurt, cinnamon, berries, nuts, seeds, and coconut. Repeat with the remaining smoothie and toppings.
3. Freeze for a few minutes, if desired. Enjoy! 🙂
